Friends in this district will learn with sorrow of the death on Saturday of Mr. Smith of Zetland, after an illness of only five days. Mr. Smith was appointed at the last Methodist Conf. to the Zeland Mission in place of Rev. Mr. Upton and was taken ill last week being brought into Youngstown where he was found to be so seriously ill from appendicitis as to be unable to operated upon. He finally succumbed on Saturday. Mr. Smith came to the west from London Ontario.
