Mr. August Hertel, aged 82, prominent Odd Fellow of Kitchener, passed away at his home in that city on Saturday. Deceased was born in Hespeler.
His demise is survived by his widow, nee Kathrine M. Wolfhard. three daughters, Mrs. George Seebach, Toronto, Mrs. Charles Steinmetz and Mrs. P. Smiley, both of Kitchener, one brother, Fred Hertel. also of Kitchener, and five sisters, Mrs. Caroline Boettger, Mrs. Fred Wolfhard, both of Kitchener, Mrs. Harry Feil, Wenatchie, Wash., Mrs. John Zinkann of Kitchener, and Mrs. M. Dahmer of Galt. Three grandchildren and one great grand- child also survive.
The funeral was held on Tuesday, interment taking place in Mount Hope cemetery.
