"...93, of Johnston, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 9, 2016 at RI Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of James Hogan. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Sabatino and Santella (Rapa) DeRobbio.
Besides her husband she was the devoted mother of Claire White and her husband David of Johnston and Eileen Hobson and her husband Hilton of Johnston, loving grandmother of David White, Christopher White and James Hobson. She was the dear sister of the late Lena Flori, Tony DeRobbio, Rose Crucitti, Christina Souza, Armando DeRobbio and Sabatino DeRobbio."

Among other things, Carmella had worked at General Electric and ran her own convenience store. Her favorite pastime was gambling, and was quite the expert! She was among the first generation in the family to have been born in the United States. She was previously married to Eugene "Bruno" Santopietro.
