Connie Kae (Hill) Fisher, 73, of Ankeny, Iowa, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, after battling cancer for 15 years. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, January 15, 2016, at Cornerstone Baptist Church (701 E. 1st St. Ankeny 50021). A luncheon will follow; burial will be at Rising Sun Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Memorial Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ankeny.
Connie was born September 27, 1942 to Donald and Anna Hill in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from East High School and married James L. Fisher in 1960.
She enjoyed family functions, camping, playing the piano and organ, following the Iowa Hawkeyes and attending Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ankeny. In her later years it was her joy to care for her cherished great nephews and nieces.
She is survived by her husband James of 55 years. With this union they were blessed with sons Dr. Ronald Fisher of Lynchburg , Virginia and Dr. Donald Fisher of Elon, North Carolina and her grandsons Ethan, William, and Thomas. She was also blessed with her sisters Mary Knode, Janeene Hill, her brother Earl Hill, one surviving aunt, many cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
