Evelyn Ivey Sprouse, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at her home. Born August 11, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Ivey and Pearl Mae Cooksey Ivey. She was the wife, for 46 years, of the late Oscar Harold Sprouse.

Mrs. Sprouse was a member of Cannon’s Camp Ground United Methodist Church and retired from Butte Knit after 35 years of service.

Survivors include her children, Linda Arthur (Cecil) and Harold Sprouse Jr.; 4 granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, James W. Ivey, Cham Ivey, and John Ivey. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Marlene Stephens; and brother, Everett Ivey.

Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Friday, January 15, 2016, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth G. Bobo. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cannon’s Camp Ground United Methodist Church, 3450 Cannon’s Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307; or Spartanburg Regional Home Hospice, PO Box 430, Drayton, SC 29333.
