Mr. Lewis P. Chandler, Jr., age 75, of Kennard passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 in the Houston Methodist Hospital. Mr. Chandler was born January 29, 1940 in Dallas to Lewis Pinkman Chandler, Sr. and Emma Louise Hand Chandler. He was a graduate of Texas Tech, Baylor University and SMU. Mr. Chandler was a retired attorney working with EOG Resources, Enron, and Northern Natural Gas. He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Crockett.

Lewis fulfilled a lifelong dream when he purchased his ranch in east Texas. He enjoyed driving his truck around his pasture land, watching his cattle and the beauty and wildlife of the piney woods and taking an occasional snooze in the warm sunshine.Lewis will be lovingly and respectfully remembered for his intelligence, integrity, gentle nature and great generosity.

Mr. Chandler is preceded in death by parents, Lewis Pinkman Chandler, Sr. and Emma Louise Hand Chandler; brother, James Chandler; brothers-in-law, Milton Carr and Morris Newnham and nephew, John David Lee.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Lewis P. Chandler, Jr. will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Helton Cemetery with Rev. Jim Tom Ainsworth officiating. Interment will follow.
