A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am, December 22nd at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, with Chaplain Christy Evans officiating. Memorials may be made to Christus Home Care (Hospice) and the American Lung Association.
Neal was born February 16, 1946 in McAlester, Oklahoma to William Gus and Bessie Ophelia Carter. He was raised on the island of Guam before enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he gained the rank of Staff Sargent and served in Vietnam. He specialized in computer science. He retired from service highly decorated and continued in the field of computers in research & development. Later in life, he became owner/operator of Coastal Bend Pest Control and loved serving his many customers. The last years of his life were dedicated to the tireless and loving care of his wife preceding her death in 2015.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents Gus and Ophelia, and in 2015, his wife Diane Carter (Folks).
