Robert S. Overfield, 62, of Leavenworth, passed away Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008.
Robert was born July 4, 1946, in Leavenworth, the son of Loyd J. and Patti A. (Warner) Overfield.
On June 3, 1978, he married Sharon Trumble. She preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his father, Loyd; two sons, John and Jamie Cain; and a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Ann Cain.
Robert is survived by his mother, Patti; two daughters, Lori Benson (John) and Suzanne Files (Wayne); two sons, Robert S. Overfield II (Marion) and Mike Overfield (Gencie); three brothers, Loyd J. Overfield II, Charles Overfield and Dana Overfield; one sister, Sue Houser; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was a 1964 graduate of Leavenworth High School and attended the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lansing.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at the Davis Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family in care of the Davis Funeral Chapel.
