Brenda O'Blanc Leger, 66, a resident of Lake Charles passed from this life on January 8, 2016 in a local hospital.

She will be remembered as a loving wife and dedicated mother and grandmother. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed working in her yard. She retired from Kroger after 40 years of dedicated service.

She is predeceased by her parents, Adam and Emila O'Blanc, husband of 40 years, Nolan Leger, and sisters, Mymie O'Blanc and Annette Ferris.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Roger D. Nation, Jr. and wife Tina, step daughters. Sandra Palmer and husband Robert, Rita LeBlanc and husband Pat, Linda McBride and husband Brian, Wanda Noland, and Stepson Donald Leger and wife Debbie, and 13 grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 9:30 AM until time of service on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 PM. Brother Wayne Dartez is to officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. The family would like to thank Mrs. Leger's grandson, Nolan Nation, for taking extra special care of his Mawmaw.
