He was born in Spartanburg S.C. son of the late Arthur and Thera McElveen Cogdill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iris Ramsey Cogdill, and a son, James Randall Cogdill. He was a member of Webb's Chapel United Methodist Church in Denver.He is survived by two daughters, Lynn Cogdill Passmore and husband Mike of Denver, and Diane Cogdill Carey and husband Harry of Chesapeake Virginia. Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
