Donna Mae Rice, 4th child of Mary and Z. E. " Country " Rice, was born on December 14, 1941 in Kingsport, Tennessee. Unexpecedly, at the age of nine months, she was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, and was never able to walk on her own. The family moved to Longview, Texas, and in 1962, she became a resident of the Lufkin Living Center. Donna had a beautiful voice and loved to sing, and entertain everyone at her church, and in vocal contests. Donna loved to laugh, was joyful, happy, and always in a good mood. Her faith was unfaltering and unswerving. There is no doubt among those that had the priviledge of being touched by His Angel on earth, that she is running, dancing, singing and twirling around Heaven.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, and older brother, Zody Rice. Those left behind to cherish her memory are, her sister, Pam Smith and husband, Ned of Longview; brother, Raymond Rice and wife, Lola of Nederland; and 9 neices and nephews.

Donna's family extends gratitude and heartwarming thanks to all of her wonderful caretakers at Lufkin Living Center. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

She has been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
