Ellen D. Weber, age 89, of Erie, died Monday afternoon, July 14, 2008, at St. Marys Home, Asbury West, Erie.

She was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Johnsonburg, daughter of Arthur J. and Elizabeth A. Glennon Condon. On June 28, 1939, in Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg, she married Robert J. Weber, who died Dec. 15, 1990. She resided in Erie since 1990, formerly of Raleigh, N.C., Farmville, Va., John-sonburg and Wilcox. She attended Holy Rosary School in Johnsonburg.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Erie and was a former volunteer at the Wilcox Library. She loved to crochet, knit and bake, and especially loved to collect cookbooks.

She is survived by two daughters, Lea C. DeCarolis of Erie and Diane, Mrs. Donald Dawsey of Beaver Creek, Ohio; four grandchildren, Sandra, Mrs. Erik Christensen, Dawn, Mrs. John Marsiglia, Fred Tarbosso III and David Dawsey; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Evan Christensen; two sisters, Mary E. Carlson of St. Marys and Lillian A. Lynch of Johnsonburg.

Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by five brothers, James, Arthur "Jack," Patrick "Pat," Samuel and Charles Condon; two sisters, Kathryn Kearney and Elizabeth Flannigan.
