Husband of Imogene, father of Linda, Mark, Patrick & Sally. Dear grandfather of 8. Great grandfather of 2.Jim was a devoted Christian husband, father, grandfather, friend and "adopted" dad to many. He served in World War II as a Corporal in the U.S. Army 109th Engineers Util. Co. Sp. When he returned home he married Imogene Anne Moffett on October 12, 1946. They were married for 57 ½ years and had 4 children. He was the owner of "Freer Industries" on Hoover Rd in Detroit, and The Dairy Barn in Heartland, MI. as well as a Brilliant Engineer who could fix or repair anything. He enjoyed bowling, playing baseball & fast pitch softball. Above all else, Jim lived his Christian faith and shared God's Word with all he came into contact with. His servant's spirit was evident in everything he did.
