Charles Earl Freeman (1913-1992)
Mary Louise Freeman (12/4/1915 - 12/10/1915) Killed by the Nanny smothering baby while sleeping
Walter Christy Freeman (1918-2010)
Dorethea Lee (Freeman) Tierhimer (6/28/1920-Living), Husband, Frank
Alice was a beautiful redhead baby, born and raised on a farm in Kansas. She used to ride a mule to school where she learned all the ins-and-outs of farm life. The mule would find its way home each day and she would ride it back to school the next morning. When Alice married Harry in 1913, she was shorter than he was but eventually grew to be a few inches taller than him. Alice worked the majority of her life in the "laundry" industry as a "Mangle Operator".
Alice's daughter, Dee, said that she got her hand caught in a mangle machine 1 time and it hurt her hand pretty bad. Alice had many hobbies and interests but was usually too busy working to entertain all of her interests.
Alice grew up not knowing who her father was (that information is still unknown - incest suspected). Reliable family sources say Alice was treated very poorly by her mother's husband (Mr. Mead); even to the point of being made to work for meals, and not being allowed to eat with the rest of the family; and frequent beatings.
Alice was good at keeping track of family history even though her methods were crude. She kept track of family births, deaths and marriages in her bible. That book is deteriorating, but has been passed down to Alice's daughter and granddaughter.
Alice is laid to rest near her husband Harry in Inglewood Park Cemetery in Los Angeles County, California.
Identity of Alice's father is unknown
