Mrs. Myrtle DeCamp of Winterset died at a nursing home here Wednesday, Dec. 13. She was 85 years of age.

Mrs. DeCamp had lived in Winterset since 1957. She was the former Myrtle May Harkrader, daughter of Joseph and Louise Vanek Harkrader, and was born Nov. 7, 1876, at Joplin, Mo. As a young woman she was married to William T. Sweeney. His death occurred in 1911. In 1918 she was married to Norman DeCamp. He preceded her in death also.

Much of her early life was spent in Van Meter. She moved to Des Moines in 1918, living there until coming to Winterset in 1957.

She was a member of the Methodist church.

She is survived by two sons, Clarence Sweeney of Winterset and Ralph Sweeney of Chicago; three step-sons; two grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Bertha Franklin of Adel; and a niece, Thelma Reeves of Des Moines.
