He was born Oct. 9, 1940, in South Bend to Lloyd H. and Betty Lou (Sirlin) Hubbard. He married Patricia L. (Beehler) Hubbard on Oct. 9, 1959.
Surviving are his wife Patricia; daughters Paula (Steve) Fielder of South Bend, Jamie (Joe) Schmitz of Flower Mound, Texas, Diana Welihan of Elkhart and Debra Perkins of Mishawaka; sister Sandra Schafer of South Bend; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Paul was general manager of Alro Steel. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Wakarusa, a 32nd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite, and retired Elks and Lions Club member. Paul loved to fish, golf and play euchre. He enjoyed his wife, girls, and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cremation will take place prior to the celebration of life from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa, with service following at 2 p.m. Pastor Dale Speckman of Zion United Church of Christ will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or Zion United Church of Christ in Wakarusa.
The family would like to give a special “thank you” to the nurses on the sixth floor at Elkhart General Hospital.
