He was born in Austin and lived in the South Bend area most of his life.
He was married to Betty Lou Sirlin in South Bend in 1938. She died in 1975.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs Sandra Sue Kay of Sterling, Ill; a son, Paul C of Wakarusa; four grandchildren; his mother and a brother.
Hubbard was a retired director of purchasing for the Torrington Co, where he was employed for 35 years.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge 294, F & AM as well as the Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, and the Madison Township Lions Club.
