She was born on a cold day on January 5th, 1877 at her parents home near Orla, Missouri. She was a twin but her twin brother died at birth. Mary was nicknamed "Ellie" by her father, because she survived. He nicknamed her his little elephant.
Mary "Ellie" Holman married Charles Wallace Wood better known as "Preacher Wood." They were the parents of 11 children.
Mary lived to be 99 years and 4 months old. She loved The Lord, and was a Christian.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a friend to everyone she met. We miss you grandmother!
