Minnie Pearl Gilder was born to Garfield Gilder and Laura Jones. She was the oldest of two children, Ruby Lee was born in 1927. Minnie received her education at Daniel Belview and Crockett Schools.

Receiving Christ at an early age, she was saved under the leadership of Elder E. Washington at Cooks Mountain COGIC. Later she served at Taylor Memorial COGIC under the leadership of Elder Leo Taylor(now New Restoration, Rev Emmitt Horace, Pastor). As she began to slow down, she reunited with Elder Washington at Pentecostal Temple COGIC. She was faithful in service until her health failed.

Minnie first married R.B.Brice. To this union, two children were born. She next married Jack Riley, and they were blessed with one child. Later in life, she married Rev. Connie Cooper. No children were born to this union.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands;son Richard D Brice; sister Ruby Gilder; three grandaughters and three great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Jackie and daughter Eva; seven grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Minnie was a professional Nanny. She worked over 40 years for Keeland Overstreet and over 8 years for Judy Pemberton. She loved and raised their children.

This special woman is going to be missed by many.
