He served in the U S Army. He took his basic training in Kentucky and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War.
After he was discharged, he worked on the family farm – Curtis Farm Dairy. After that he worked at American Gear and NAPA until he retired.
He was a caring and giving friend to his neighbors at Mattanawcook Terrace.
He is survived by three sisters, Mary, Vicky and Lorena, a brother Gordon, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Melvin, Leola, Dora, Earline and Edwin; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Hannah Curtis; brothers George, Franklin and Newton and sisters Decima, Glendine, Peggy and Joyce.
Spring interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
