Funeral services for Joe W. "Dub" Bass, Sr., 79, of Columbia, LA will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the House of Prayer International formerly the Woolen Lake Church of God, Columbia, LA with Bro. David Sistrunk officiating. Interment will follow in the Woolen Lake Cemetery, Columbia, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Joe was born April 29, 1936 in Oak Grove, LA and passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 in Columbia, LA.

Mr. Joe was a member of the Woolen Lake Church of God. He retired from the DOTD after 35 years. He sold vegetables from his home, farmer's market, and grocery stores.

Mr. Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents, Marvell and Chester; brother, Elvis Ray; sons, "Little Dub", Waldon, and Alan; daughter, Sybil.

Survivors include his daughters, Sheree; Stacy and husband, Kenny, Sharlie, Anita, and Telisa; son, Steve and wife, Tammy Jo; host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Nelwyn and Sybil; brothers, Don, Roy, Roger, and Chester; and his little coons, Chesslie, Kelsey, and Charlsey.

Visitation is 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday, at the Woolen Lake Church of God, Columbia, LA.
