James was a very kind hearted man, who loved his family very much. He was a World War II Veteran of the US Army. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing for many years. James retired from Smyre Manufacturing as a supervisor after many years of dedicated service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sue Conner Arrowood, sisters, Ila Paxton and Bonnie Dockery; brothers, Gene Arrowood and J.D. Lovingood
Survivors include his daughters, Linda Kirby and husband Jim; Patty Butler and husband Freddy; Nancy Arrowood; son, Rick Arrowood and wife Carmen; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry Arrowood and B.G. Arrowood
Celebration of Life Service:Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Military Honors
Pallbearers will be Derek Alexander, Dana Arrowood, Brandon Padgett, Benny Arrowood, Jimmy Walton and Bobby Rowland.
