Residence Vermilion County IL; 19 years old.
Enlisted on 8/10/1862 as a Private.
On 9/3/1862 he mustered into "D" Co. IL 125th Infantry
He was Mustered Out on 5/18/1865

Mr Clipson served as Scout throughout his Enlistment. While with General Sherman's forces in the South he was wounded near the close of the war. He was Post Commander of the Okmulgee GAR at the time of his death and the Flag of that Post was Buried with him.
