Leota was the 7th child of 11 of Greenville & Eliza Padgett Hubble. She was born July 4, 1878 in Ziff Twp. Wayne Co. Illinois. She married Richard Johnson McCracken March 18, 1896. They had 8 children, raising 6 to adulthood. He was killed along with Charley Keath in a truck & train accident at Edwardsville, Illinois June 5, 1925. She was leave a widow with 2 children married, 2 children in school and 2 still at home, the youngest 2 yrs old to raise which she full of strength & lovingly.
