March 22, 1921 - December 21, 2015

Ruth Dianthia Frank went home to the Lord on December 21, 2015, at the age of 94. Ruth was born to Cyrenius and Frankie Randall on March 22, 1921 in Weiser, Idaho.

Her childhood was spent living on the family ranch raising livestock and tending to crops. As a young girl, Ruth enjoyed spring when she would pick wild pansies and buttercups on the hills near her family’s ranch. Her love for music started at a young age when she learned to play the piano by ear. She was the youngest of seven siblings; Carol, Lorene, Edgar, Chester, Lester & Henry.

*Ruth graduated from Weiser High School in May 1939. After graduation, she met and married Robert Buck. Together, they became parents to their son Bruce and daughter Jeanette (Gary).

Ruth remarried after meeting Virgil Frank of Puyallup. She welcomed LeIslea (Dale) and LeRoy (Vivian) as step-children into her life.

Together, Ruth and Virgil then welcomed their daughter Connie (Mike). Ruth and Virgil lived in Puyallup and were married for over 43 years.

Ruth enjoyed being a wife and mother while raising her children in the greater Puyallup area.
Over the years, she continued her love for music and played the piano or organ for her family during many special gatherings. Ruth sold Avon for many years in the Puyallup area. She enjoyed different activities such as sewing, cooking, gardening and camping. Returning to visit her home town of Weiser, Idaho and family farm were important to her. Ruth cherished these visits since it allowed her to visit with friends and loved ones to share special childhood memories. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she worked hard to make each one special.

Ruth is survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter Jeanette McDonald in 2002, granddaughter Paulette Scott (Revelle) in 2005 and her husband Virgil in 2005.

Services will be held at Mt. View Memorial on Saturday January 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception.
