HELEN W. PENLAND
(1925-2004)
Helen W. Penland left this world for heaven on Thursday eve, March 17, 2004, in the loving company and thoughts of her family and friends.
She was born in Portsmouth, Va., and resided in Asheville for more than 50 years, where she was a successful bookkeeper and records management employee for Buncombe County until her retirement.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Don August Penland.
She is survived by her three children: daughter, Donna Randall of Arden, and sons, Shawn Penland of Arden and HAP Penland of Hendersonville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to acknowledge and extend their appreciation to all the health processionals, family and friends for their efforts, support and prayers. It has made all the difference to us during the time.
To our Mother, our friend, our example - we love you and miss you now and ALWAYS without end, will see you later and longer next time.
