Also surviving is one daughter, Sharon Schafer of Farmington. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
He was a machinist at Caterpillar Inc.'s Building KK in East Peoria for 31 years, retiring in 1976. He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of Farmington Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1571.
Burial will be in Trivoli Cemetery.
