Joseph C YORK II is the son of Joseph C YORK I and his first wife Martha SPINKS.

It is now obvious Joseph C YORK II was born much earlier in about 1752 than previously recorded in my files. For many years I have presumed him as born in 1764.

He is listed in the 1790 U S Census of his native Randolph County, North Carolina with six sons and three daughters. In the early 1790's perhaps this young couple left Randolph County, North Carolina and migrated into Campbell County, Tennessee. His father Joseph YORK I had already left Randolph County during the Revolutionary War and migrated somewhere into Tennessee.

It is believed that Joseph C YORK II married in about 1770 in Colonial Orange (now Randolph) County, North Carolina, USA to an unidentified wife.

Their Children are listed in the 1790 US Census of Randolph County, North Carolina without any names:

1. Son #1 YORK
2. Son #2 YORK
3. Son #3 YORK
4. Son #4 YORK
5. Daughter #1 YORK
5. Daughter #2 YORK
6. Joseph C YORK III born 1780 in Randolph County, North Carolina, USA (Identified in Campbell County, Tennessee in Tax lists)
7. Daughter #3 YORK

It appears there is a third generation of Joseph C. YORK III families otherwise the children do not properly align with his wife Lucresha "Cressey" (b. 1785 TN - d. 1855 TN) and ten children.
