Melba Pat Lee of Mount Pleasant, Texas passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015. She was born April 5, 1924 in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Pat and Annie (Combs) Wells.

Pat was the tenth child born to this union and was named after her father who passed away a few month before she was born. She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School the year Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Pat married Carl Lee in June of 1942 and when Carl was drafted into the military, she worked in an aircraft factory in San Diego when the city was under blackout alert. Years later, she worked for the Northridge Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant as secretary for twenty nine years and continues to be a member of the congregation. She touched many lives through her work with the church and in the Pilot Club of Mount Pleasant where she served a president and director.

She leaves her children, Sherri Fox, Rhonda and her husband Bob Hedges, Van and his wife Terri Lee all of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Gina and her husband Jay Beville of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Jimmy Jay and Karen Fox, Jeannie Pat and Todd Jaggers, Rob and Beth Hedges, Jay and McKenzie Hedges, Jason and Natalie Lee, Justin and Shelley Lee; Brooke Beville and Paige Beville; great grandchildren, Haden and Amber Fox, Zachary Hedges, Karigan Fox, Colton Jaggers, Elly Hedges, Kenadee Hedges, Kenlee Jaggers, Landry McPeters, Korbin Hedges, Pearson Lee, Scottlyn Lee, Zoe Lee, Callaway Lee, Annie Pat Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl C, "Snooks" Lee; her parents, brothers, Van Wells, and Trigger Wells; sisters, Vera Miller, Verna Laden, Lina Rhea, Viola Phillips, Mary Fox, Margaret Belcher and Hallie Lang.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 3, 2016 a the Northridge Church of Christ, with Bro. Jim Parker and Bro. Raynard Screws officiating. Interment will follow at Nevills Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday evening at the funeral home.
