Funeral service for Inez Almon Thornton, 65, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Victory Headquarters Christian Center with the Rev. Charles D Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Thornton will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Viewing will be held today from 1-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include husband, Jimmy Thornton, of Munford; daughter, Pamela (Joseph) Breech, of Anniston; sisters, Sarah Bitticks, of Anniston, Charlene (Lewis) Butts, of Anniston, Clever McKay, of New Jersey; brothers, Dennis (Diane) Almon, of Anniston, Luther (Blynda) Almon Jr., of Anniston, Robert Bailey, of Delaware; special niece, Ebony Bitticks, of Anniston; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
