Lula Faye Ferguson, 60, died Jan. 7, 2006, in Milan, N.M.

She was born Sept. 13, 1945, inShannon County, Mo., daughter of Stella (Donaldson) Chitwood, who survives and resides in Ellington, and the late John Chitwood.

She was united in marriage to Vernon Ray Ferguson Sept. 20, 1989, and he survives, residing in Milan, N.M.

Mrs. Ferguson was baptized and joined the Sweetwater United Baptist Church as a teenager and later moved her membership to the First Baptist Church in Ellington. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, doll collecting and surfing the Internet.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by two sons, John (Rhonda) Watson, Ellsinore, Phillip Watson, Milan, N.M.; one daughter, Roxanna (David) Parker, St. Peters; two brothers, John Chitwood, Ellington, Frank Chitwood, Centerville; three sisters, Carole Hampton, Ellington, Janet Hartwin, Stephanie Chitwood, both of Affton; three stepchildren; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Justin Parker.

The funeral was held Jan. 14 at McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington, with Pastor Marvin Richards officiating.

Pallbearers were John, Frank, Lance and Travis Chitwood, Phillip Watson and David Parker. Burial was in Huda Chitwood Cemetery.
