William Geerdts, 78, of Rt. 1, Two Rivers, Town of Two Creeks, died at 9:45 o'clock this Friday morning at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home of Two Rivers and will be announced later.

Geerdts Funeral

Funeral services for William F. Geerdts, 78,of Rt. 1, Two Rivers, Town of Two Creeks, who died Friday morning at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, the Rev. Gerhard Geiger officiating. Burial will be in Mach's Cemtery {sic}, Town of Mishicot.

Mr. Geerdts was born Jan. 18, 1890, in the Town of Two Creeks, a son of the late Detlef and Anna Janzen Geerdts. He married the former Lillian Zierzow Sept. 30, 1915, at Two Creeks, the couple taking up their home on the Geerdts homestead farm. His wife preceded him in death March 4, 1925. Engaged in farming his entire life, he was employed, however, during several winter seasons at O. A. Smith Co., Milwaukee.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frederick (Gertrude) Saubert of Rt. 1, Two Rivers, and Mrs. Thomas (Esther) Krizizke of Two Rivers; a son, Roland, of Rt. 1, Two Rivers; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Puls of Two Rivers, Mrs. Arthur Zierzow of Rt. 1, Mishicot, and Mrs. Edward Gloe, of Madison; nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Four sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
