Mrs. Cohen was born October 9, 1897, in the Town of Cato, daughter of the late James A. and Maggie O’Laughlin Meany. She married Edward J. Cohen in November of 1918 at Clarks Mills. Mrs. Cohen was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills, Christian Mothers and the Homemakers Club.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Burt Derse of Green Bay, Jane and Floyd Scott of Allentown, Wisconsin, Grace and Ken Holtz of Garden Grove, California and Ruth and Carl Willman Jr., of rural Cato; 26 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Florian (Claire) Stradal of Manitowoc and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Irving (Laura) Meany and Francis (Hazel) Meany, both of Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by her husband, March 3, 1983; her only son, John Francis; a sister and five brothers.
