Edward was the son of John and Elizabeth (Lungi) Teto. He was born on 29 Nov 1882, but there has been some confusion as to whether his birth was actually in Finland or (as some records mention) on the boat during the family immigration to America, although the 1920 census has the family emigrating to Michigan in August, 1883. He lived in Osceola, MI until the family moved to Peterborough, NH around 1905. Edward married Evelyn Lahteinen on 27 Sep 1910 in Fitchburg, MA. Their marriage appears to have been a stormy one as Edward was often arrested for drunkenness and spent some time in the Bridgewater, MA penitentiary. As a result of this, Evelyn filed for divorce in 1933. Edward died on an unknown date in 1953.
