Renee married her high school sweetheart, Richard G. Scott. To this union was born a son, Robert Chris Scott, who died at the age of 21 from cancer.
Renee and her husband, Dick, worked in the house painting business in California. After many years, they semi-retired to St. George, UT where Renee excelled in golf.
Upon Dick’s passing in 1999, Renee moved to Rexburg, Idaho to be near her sister, Ann Thompson.
In 2011, Renee married Francis “Fritz” Powell, and they spent their last years living together at Homestead Assisted Living Center until his death in 2014. Renee continued living there until her death.
Renee is survived by her sister, Ann (Pete) Thompson; a grandson, Michael Odenburg; and a sister-in-law, Collette Clarke.
There will be a visitation held Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at the American Fork, Utah City Cemetery.
