Mrs. Mary Alig
Metamora, May 1-Mrs. Mary Theresa Alig, 51, wife of Joseph Alig, died at her home here at 9:45 AM Monday.
Mrs. Alig was born at Kickapoo March 10, 1899, a daughter of Nicholas and Mary Violet Schaub. She married Mr. Alig at Kickapoo Oct 2, 1928. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Metamora, the Altar and Rosary Legion auxiliary of Metamora, the St. Mary's Mothers club and the Royal Neighbors lodge.
Surviving are her husband; six daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Daxenbichler of Peoria, Betty Ann, Carina, Rita, Josephine and JoAnn Alig, all at home; one son, Jacob Alig, also at home; four brothers, Joseph, Fred, Ed and Vincent Schaub, all of Edwards, and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Duchene and Mrs. Veronica Nauman, both also of Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at the residence at 8:30 AM Thursday and at St. Mary's church in Metamora at 9. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the residence after 4 PM. Tuesday, and there will be recitations of the rosary at 8 PM Tuesday and Wednesday.
