Della was the daughter of Thomas and Nancy (Davis) Wooley. She married Charles Henry Lees in 1895 and they had one son: Edgar Marion Lees.

Della Mae Lees, 83, died yesterday afternoon in her Modesto home after a long illness.
Born in Missouri, she lived in Modesto for 23 years. She leaves one son, Edgar Lees of Modesto; two brothers, Frank Wooley of Modesto; and Alonzo Wooley of Fullerton, Orange County; one sister, Susie Bellin of Oakdale; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 AM Monday in the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home.
