Glenn Porter was born on September 6, 1919, the son of Charles and Vida (Freeman) Porter in Fargo. He grew up on the family farm near Grandin, ND and graduated from Bohnsack Consolidated School. He later attended the State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND.
Glenn was united in marriage to Grace Agnes Wiger on September 6, 1941. Together they made their home on a farm near Grandin where they farmed and raised their family.
Throughout his life, Glenn enjoyed spending his time at the lake visiting with family and friends. He loved the many hours spent in a boat with a fishing line in the water. He was an avid reader and enjoyed painting. Glenn was a lifelong member of the Grandin Presbyterian Church.
Glenn is survived by his children, Donald (Mary) Porter of Harwood, ND; and Teresa Radcliffe of Villa Maria in Fargo; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and other very dear relatives.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vida; his wife, Grace; his daughters, Glenda Smith and Kathy Olson; his great-grandson, Justin Krause; his brothers, Gene Porter and Keith Porter; and his sister, Arlene Porter.
VISITATION: 6-7 PM Friday at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo – and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Saturday
