Phyllis Agnes Despain Quarnberg 86 passed away November 30, 2015 at her home. She was born October 28, 1929 in Salina, UT to Darrell Clare and Mabel Gwendoline Chidester Despain.

Phyllis graduated from Gunnison Valley High School in 1947. She married Don C. Quarnberg on September 7, 1948 in Bountiful, UT later solemnized on March 15, 1949 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Phyllis knew the meaning of hard work and service and taught her family these values. She was a valiant member of the LDS Church and served unselfishly where ever she was called. She enjoyed sewing, scapbooking and gardening. She loved her family and made sure each one of them knew it.


*Survived by her husband Don Quarnberg, children, Dallen (Suzanne); DeVon (Karen); Shelley (Rand); Jolynn (Jeff); Rodney (Kim); siblings, Charles (Annette) Despain; Don (Eunice) Despain ; 23 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Darrell Despain and Claris Stone.

Funeral service Friday December 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Scipio LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. both at the Scipio Ward.

Interment in the Scipio Cemetery.
