Harold was born the son of Arthur and Leona Nelson. He attended school in Worthington and graduated from Worthington High School in 1942. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving from 1943-1946. Harold married Violet Fannie Hindt on May 19, 1952 in Worthington.
Harold was preceded in death by wife, Violet and sister, Roberta Marie Nelson Good. Harold is survived by daughters, Jane (Glenn) Larson, Bonnie Nelson, Lily (Matt) Rose and Vicki (Kurt) Wheeler; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and niece, Glenda Lais.
