Johnny Goodman, 72, of Hayti, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 at the Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti.
Born March 28, 1935 in Steele, he is the son of the late Effie Kay Goodman.
He was a diesel mechanic for several years and a veteran of the Army National Guard and a Mason.
Mr. Goodman leaves five children: Johnny Goodman Jr., Teresa Kay Hale and Billy Goodman of Granite City, Ill., Jo Ann Wood of Milford, Maine and Cathy Naifeh of Clarksville, Tenn.; Four stepchildren: Cathy Shults of Scott City, Phillip Matty of Caruthersville, Karen Klutner of New Hamburg and Laura Phillips of Perryville; His companion, Freda Mathenia, of Hayti; and A host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Goodman were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Br. Doug Wahls officiating.
Burial was at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
Pallbearers were Troy Mathenia, Jeffery Mathenia, Dustin Hale, John Jones, Ryan Goodman, David Lester and Chris Naifeh.
Honorary pallbearers were Sam Naifeh.
