Mrs. Effie Kay Hayes, 77, of Hayti, Mo. died Saturday, October 17, 1992, at Hayti, Mo.
A daughter of the late Monroe and Minnie Hurst Goodman, she was born April 6, 1915 near Cooter, Mo. in Pemiscot County.
She was united in marriage to Clarence Hayes at New Madrid, Mo. in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1969.
A daughter, Joann, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hayes leaves one son, Mr. Johnny Goodman, of Hayti;
A sister, Mrs. Halley Bounds, of Steele, Mo.;
Four grandchildren: Johnny Goodman Jr. and Billy Goodman, both of Oklahoma City, Okla., Teresa Hale of Granite City, Ill. and Jo Ann Girourd of Pleasant, Maine;
Five great-grandchildren; and
Two great-great-grandchldren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hayes were held Tuesday, October 20, 1992, at 10:00 a.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home at Hayti with Rev. John Stepp of Caruthersville, Mo. officiating.
Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, with John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti in charge of arrangements.
Family members were Mrs. Hayes' pallbearers.
