On September 23, 1944, she married Clinton Hilliker, in Rochester, New York. She was an avid gardener, an intrepid traveler, and a dedicated volunteer. In California she recorded college text books for "Recording for the Blind."
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Clint, of Day's Ferry, her son David and daughter-in-law, Wendy, of Manhattan Beach , California, her daughter Deborah LaChapelle of Georgetown (Maine) and Merida (Mexico), her son Jeffrey of Long Beach, California, and her grandson, Aaron LaChapelle and great grandson Jackson LaChapelle, both os Los Angeles, California.
