Jeremiah B. of E. Avon married Amanda Bennett of Lima in Sep 1839. They had 3 daughters and a son Jeremiah. Mt Hope Cemetery records show J.B.s death as 9/5/1905-age 89 years, 6 Mon- Diabetes, pneumonia, and old age - living on Post St. in Rochester. Mt Hope records state that he was buried in NW i/1 60 sec R on the 5th of Sept 1905 In an obituary for J.B. Whitbeck in the Democrat and Chronicle was titled "MORE THAN 70 YEARS IDENTIFIED WITH CITY" and subtitled " J. B. Whitbeck, One of Rochester's Oldest Citizens, Dies in his Ninetieth Year, Rode on the First Central Train."
