Patricia Louise Birchfield, 38, of 3981 F Street, died suddenly Sunday at her home. She was born in Maryland and had lived in Eureka the last two years. She is survived by her husband Pat Birchfield; mother, Mrs. Olive Scudero of Santa Jose; father Victor Herncall of Atascadero; a brother, Ralph Herncall of Oswego, Oregon; a sister, Marian Herncall of Santa Jose.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Cooper Mortuary. Interment will be in Santa Rosa.*
