He was born February 16, 1938, in Frankfort, to Luther and Lela Simpson Howe. He married Linda Cooper on November 17, 1966, and she survives.
Also surviving are his mother; one son, Jeremy of Frankfort; two daughters, Robin Crews and Angie Ford, both of Frankfort; three brothers, John E. Howe, Charles E. Howe and Gerald L. Howe, all of Frankfort; and three grandchildren.
Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.
