(1915 - 2006)

Harvey G. Henschel, 91, 0f 1050 Juniper St. Cleveland, Wi died Monday morning, November 13, 2006 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

He was born August 27, 1915 in the Town of Meeme, son of the late Louis & Ella Arnoldi Henschel. Harvey attended Spring Valley school. On May 28, 1938 he married Norma Oehldrich at St. John/St. Peter Church, Cleveland. The couple farmed in the Town of Meeme on the Henschel homestead retiring in 1978 when they moved to Cleveland. Harvey was a member of St. James UCC, Spring Valley where he had served on numerous committees. He was a member of the Cleveland Fire Dept. and served on the Board of Directors of the Manitowoc Milk Producers and the Manitowoc DHIA. He was also a member of the state and national Holstein Friesian Association. Harvey also organized and ran bean bag & skat tournaments for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Norma, two sons: Ronald (Jackie) Henschel, Cleveland, Gerald (Kathy) Henschel, Kiel, one daughter, Janice (William) Brass, Sheboygan & thirteen grandchildren, Laurie Sixel & friend Scott Schmidt, Kevin & Tamy Henschel, Brian & Wendy Henschel, Steven Henschel, Todd & Lori Henschel, Jeff & Wendy Meyer, Jamie Henschel, Todd & Jody Binversie, Steve & Kerrie DeTroye, CJ & Mark Brass, Robert & Heidi Ridge, Tim & Sara Feldmann & Mike Brass. He is further survived by fourteen great grandchildren, Jessica Sixel, Justin, Joshua & Jacob Henschel, Morgan & Amanda Henschel, Marissa & Jonathan Meyer, Courtney, Ryan & Emily Binversie, Cody Braun, Savanna Ridge and Jack Henschel.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at St. James United Church of Christ, Spring Valley with Rev. William Kesting officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the CHURCH on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.

A memorial has been established for St. James UCC handicap accessible fund.
