Betty Powers, age 76, of Williamsburg, KY, passed away Tuesday December 22, 2015 at the Beech Tree Manor Nursing Home in Jellico, TN. She was born May 19, 1939 in Whitley County, KY, to the late Barney Wilson and the late Flora Mayne Wilson. She was a cheerleader for Woodbine High School. She worked as a Secretary for Jellico Ford and a clerk for Sam Powers Auto Body Shop.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Samuel Powers and a daughter Pamela Sue Powers.
She is survived by her Cousins Johnny Mayne of Eubank, KY, Laymon Mayne (Jeanette) of Sebring, FL, Charles Mayne Jr.of Salvisa, KY, Charlene Rogers of Stanford, Ky. and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 2:00PM Sunday December 27, 2015 at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest in the Wilson-Worley Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 12:00PM Sunday December 27, 2015 at the funeral home chapel.
