Peaceful be thy slumber ever,
All thy warfare now is o'er;
Thou wilt wake to sorrow never,
Conflict thou shalt know' no more.
Peaceful has the spirit left us,
And the parting gives no pain;
Tho' thy going has bereft us,
We shall meet to live again.
We shall meet to live again,
Peaceful in the arms of Jesus,
Closely nestling on His breast,
Thou has gone to join the ransomed
In that home forever blest.
