Mr. Allemand was a native and lifelong resident of Arnaudville. He was a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville. He was a gentle, loving person who enjoyed being with his family. He also loved playing his accordion.
Survivors include five brothers, Allen Allemand and wife, Geraldine, of Baton Rouge, Joseph "Joe" Allemand and wife, Lydia, of Leonville, Tony Allemand and wife, Phyllis, Russell Allemand, and Wayne Allemand and companion, Earline Taylor, of Arnaudville; three sisters, Thelma Robin and husband, Allen and Mildred Robin, both of Arnaudville, Irma Richard of Morgan City; three godchildren, Julie Tyagi, Ellen Savoy and Linda Bonvillain; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raoul Allemand, Sr. and the former Julie Olivier; four brothers, Henry Allemand, Bobby Allemand, Harold Allemand and Mervin Allemand; and three sisters, Bertha Credeur, Agnes Courville and Cathy Carroll.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Jude Robin, Marcus Robin, Todd Stelly, Ricky Savoy, John Allemand and Jerry Allemand. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Allemand, Wayne Allemand, Joseph Allemand, Tony Allemand and Allen Allemand.
